Research

Hydrogen plasma processing, alloy interfaces, and sustainable materials.

My current PhD work investigates hydrogen plasmas for sustainable metals production and recycling. The broader motivation is to reduce the environmental footprint of metallurgical processes, including steelmaking, which remains a major contributor to industrial CO2 emissions.

Research interests

  • Sustainable metals production and recycling
  • Hydrogen plasma metallurgy
  • Grain-boundary segregation in alloys
  • Molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations
  • Nano-characterization and physical metallurgy

Previous work

Master's thesis

Atomistic insights into segregation in Mg alloys

Used atomistic approaches to understand segregation behavior at grain boundaries in magnesium alloys.

Master's thesis

Low-temperature thermoelectric alloys

Studied the role of grain boundaries in thermoelectric performance using nano-characterization techniques.

Bachelor's thesis

Medium-entropy alloys

Worked on synthesis and characterization of medium-entropy alloy systems.
